Comments: Constitution Qua Suicide Pact

You are right on this one. Like the song "Born in the USA" people seem to be using it for the opposite of what it meant.

I think of it as one of those phrases like "the king can do no wrong." It actually means "the king is incapble of doing wrong, and everything that the sovereign does is for the good of his people" (in American terms "Congress+executive+courts=right"). Here, the because the constitution lays out the arrangmenet between the branches, and individual rights IT JUST CAN'T be a SP.
